Christmas 2009

Christmas Fuller Style. This year was the first year that Jay and I put off all Christmas shopping until the Dec 22nd. We had our "Favorites" dinner this year Jay requested Totinos Pizza Pockets, I chose Chicken Cordon Bleu, Kaelee picked Ambrosia, Makenzie picked funeral potatoes, Gavin picked Chocolate Cake and rolls, Cache had to have little smokies. Oh what a meal we had. For those who don't know about our silly tradition everyone having dinner with us gets to choose their favorite food. Some years it is all dessert, some all Mexican food, and some years a whole lot of foods that don't go together. The kids all work together on their choices so nobody chooses the same thing. It is how we do Christmas Eve. Christmas morning did not come early at our house. Jay told them all they couldn't get out of bed until 8am they all took him seriously! So we didn't get going until 7:30am Kaelee got her Ipod touch, Makenzie got her glitter bouncy ball and a beading kit, Gavin got his Spy kit, and Cache got his Ski Sled. We only had 1pair of pants that didn't fit and one set of walkie-talkies that had to go back. This was the first year in 13years that Jay didn't have to work on Christmas Eve and The Day after Christmas and we loved it. I hope everyone had as good as Christmas that we had. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Happy Birthday Makenzie

Oh wow Makenzie is 10 years old. The years have gone fast! Kenzie's Birthday is often lost in the Holidays so this year we are having her friend party in January so we all have time to fully give her Birthday the attention it deserves. I can't think of Makenzie's Birthday and not recall her birth. 10 years ago I was very pregnant, the doctors told me that I would deliver around Thanksgiving. About two weeks before Christmas that year I am awoken by Jay crying in pain, I knew he was in trouble when he insisted I call the ER. He had kidney stones. The doctors expected him to be able to pass them on his own after controlling his pain they sent him home. I remember being jealous because I was the one who was supposed to be in the Hospital. A week later on the 22nd of Dec Jay woke me up again at approx 4am and we headed back to the ER. His kidneys were blocked and were shutting down. He was in intense pain they began talking emergency surgery, ICU, and major pain meds. I started having contractions at 5am. I told no one because I needed to be with Jay I was no longer jealous, he was in way more pain than I was. The doctors tried to do numerous things to help him without surgery but at about noon they announced he would have to go to IF to ErMaC. Jays nurse was one of my good friends and noticed my contractions and notified my doctor. They wouldn't let me go to IF with Jay because I was officially in Labor. My brother,Travis, took Jay to IF because we didn't want to pay for an ambulance. My mom escorted me upstairs to the maternity ward. The nurses at both hospitals kept us updated on each other. Kenzie was born shortly after midnight. Jay got out of surgery at about 8pm they got the stones and the kidneys were starting to function again. They released Jay on the 23rd on the condition he stayed in my hospital room with me. We were both let out of the Madison hospital early afternoon on December 24. Kaelee insisted she needed a present for her new sister so I headed to Walmart to help her pick one out. Jay was not moving well. Between the Fullers and the Jenkins we were rescued. All of our neighbors pitched in to help since Jay was down for a few weeks. I turned out to be an amazing Christmas. My mom,Grandma Jenkins, insisted that Makenzie smiled at her minutes after she was born, Makenzie always had a special place in her heart. Kenz came in the world surrounded by drama and still loves drama. She is the happiest kid anyone has ever met!

Christmas is coming to town!

Well merry Christmas everyone! That is about all the Christmas Spirit I can scrounge up. I have to admit this is the first year in all of my years that I am not exicted about Christmas. I have many therories why my attitude is this way but I'll skip that and go straight to my kids are so very excited for Christmas. Our school dist is trying a new thing this year, we get two full weeks off for Christmas break. Oh the kids have plans if only I can keep up. We did go and see Santa today. Thanks Santa you made my kids year by remembering all of their names. Cache wants a ski sled, Gavin wants a spy kit, Makenzie wants a glitter ball (basically a big bouncy ball) and Kaelee after much deliberation wants a sweat suit from Aeropostle. We changed our original rule of the kids can ask for three things to they can only ask for one. I personally was suprised with the one thing they all selected. Well we are doing the Fuller Family "tradition" tommarow wish us all luck! Oh did I mention it is Christmas time.

Busy Busy Busy

Okay the Fullers are alive. The mom is running crazy. Ok here is the low down and hopefully everyone reads this so I don't have to explain my insanity again. I am going back to school online. I am going to go to Phoenix University. I already have 45 credits but unfortunately they are in Political Science. What a worthless degree. I know there are numerous field it goes for but the facts are that none of them go with being a mom. Darn it that is what I am so I am going into Psychology. I have been tutoring kids with Dyslexia and am finding out there are so many kids who need help in so many ways and no slot of people educated to help them. So that is my goal to help kids who may not even know they need help. I believe this falls under the category of Child psychology. So I could work in the schools or privately. We'll see meanwhile I am busy!!!! I am currently taking 7 credits for the next nine weeks due to the lack of speed of my transcripts have been sent I am taking a technology class (basically to learn how to use the computer and Internet to help with my education) and a business writing class (not sure where it falls in but hey I'm doing it). So I am online about four hours a day five days a week. I am still working in at the middle school and no I haven't sold any kids yet. I must admit my floors need mopped and the laundry is becoming a mountain but I'm doing it. I have to say thank you for all the angels who have helped not knowing there was a need until they filled it. Last night as I dragged myself into the kitchen to make dinner there was a knock on my door and a lovely angel brought dinner because she "felt" I might need it. Now please don't everyone start bringing me things, but I have to say I cried at the thought the Lord is obviously watching me run around in circles and is either laughing or knew I need help. Thanks to all of you who help. The kids are being supportive and they all find it funny that mom groans about my homework and reading. The girls have both offered assistance (I hope they don't read this) I made errors for them to find in my first paper so they could help me like I often help them. We are going to do this for the family as the family. I have awesome kids and a husband who gives up his morning so I can study. Please feel free to Laugh at me as I lose my mind on occasion because I will also be laughing. That is what I am up to with all of my families support!
